NEW YORK – June 18, 2025 — All Women’s Sports Network (AWSN), and 3XBA (3x3 Basketball Association) the only professional tour in the U.S. that serves as a pipeline for women’s 3x3 Olympic basketball [1] [MA2] competition, today announced that their partnership will kick off at 3XBA’s star-studded, two-day tournament in Spokane, Wash., on Friday, June 27 and Saturday, June 28, live on the AWSN channel on Pluto TV.

The 32 players competing on 8 different teams in the tournament include over 20 percent of the players selected in the 2025 WNBA draft.

The event takes place at Spokane Hoopfest, the world’s largest 3-on-3 outdoor basketball tournament that draws over 250,000 fans and over 6,000 teams annually.

“The 3XBA organization has been producing some of the most exciting, elite-level action on the court in women’s professional basketball, so we are excited to begin AWSN’s partnership with the league in an event that has tremendous star power,” said AWSN CEO George Chung.

"3XBA was created to amplify the incredible talent, energy, and culture in women’s basketball, and this partnership with AWSN that kicks off with our Spokane tournament means more visibility, more fans, and more opportunities for our 3x3 players with an innovative and female-forward platform,” said Alanna McDonald, 3XBA President and Co-Founder.

“We’re putting elite athletes on the global stage where they belong,” continued McDonald, “building a clear pathway to the Olympics in this rising sport. This is just the beginning."

Among the stars slated for action in Spokane are 2024 Olympic Bronze Medalist Cierra Burdick; 2025 WNBA draft picks Madison Scott and Shyanne Sellers; and SEC phenom, 2x National Champion with the South Carolina Gamecocks and 2025 WNBA second round draft pick, Bree Hall.

Additional talent scheduled for play in the 3XBA tournament includes 2023 WNBA first-round draft pick and former Indiana Hoosier, Grace Berger as well as WNBA player Destanni Henderson

These 3XBA players will be challenged by other elite-level professional competitors with a mix of WNBA experience and experience in international play, including The Olympic Games. All the play at the tournament is sanctioned by The International Basketball Federation (FIBA).

Each participating 3XBA tournament team will feature four players, with three players on the court at all times during play, and one substitute player. All four will rotate often due to the fast-paced, intense nature of the competition, giving the fans a showcase of what the future of  this thrilling Olympic sport holds.

Players who participate in 3XBA tournaments earn FIBA ranking points that make them eligible to represent their respective national teams in global 3x3 competition.

The total number of FIBA 3x3 ranking points earned by the top 20 American players combined determines whether the U.S. qualifies for The Olympic Games.

AWSN will cover a total of three 3XBA tournament events, all of which are tournaments structured in the same format as the upcoming one in Spokane.

Last week, AWSN announced the launch of its platform, the only free network exclusively dedicated to coverage of women’s professional sports, on Pluto TV.

The AWSN channel on Pluto TV is available throughout the U.S., as well as on an exclusive basis in Canada, the U.K., and the Nordic countries.

The channel features a 24/7 linear stream, including over 2,500 hours of live women’s sports annually and a robust offering of on-demand programming.

AWSN, co-founded by Whoopi Goldberg and Jungo TV, was created to provide a powerful platform for women athletes to be seen, celebrated, and supported. The network transforms visibility into opportunity, building a space where performance and ambition are center stage.
