Biography

Zaida González is an explosive scoring guard and rising star for Puerto Rico whose combination of toughness, shot-making, and international experience has quickly established her as one of the country's emerging talents. A standout at Stony Brook, González earned All-CAA Second Team and All-Met Third Team honors after averaging 16.0 points per game, surpassing 1,000 career points, and setting a program single-game scoring record with 37 points. Internationally, she has represented Puerto Rico on some of the sport’s biggest stages, competing against elite competition at the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup and helping secure a historic gold medal in 3x3 basketball at the Caribbean Games. She has also represented Puerto Rico at the FIBA 3x3 World Cup, showcasing her versatility and ability to thrive in both the traditional and half-court formats. Known for her relentless energy, defensive intensity, and clutch scoring ability, González brings dynamic playmaking and national team experience to the 3XBA pro tour.
