Amy Okonkwo

Amy Okonkwo is a standout player for Nigeria’s national team and a two-time Afrobasket Champion, earning titles in 2021 and 2023. She was named MVP and selected to the tournament’s Best 5 in 2023, and represented Nigeria on the world’s biggest stage at both the Tokyo and Paris Olympic Games. A graduate of TCU, Amy’s professional career spans top leagues in Spain and France, including stints with Recoletas Zamora, Leganes, and Landerneau, and most recently with EuroCup contender Gorzow in Poland. She’s also participated in WNBA training camps with the Dallas Wings and Connecticut Sun. Off the court, Amy is a book lover, a Nintendo Switch fan, and a talented baker.
